Peyton Manning Rumors: Broncos Have Contacted QB's Reps, He Prefers To Stay In AFC, According To Reports

Free Agent quarterback Peyton Manning is considering all of his options at the moment, but a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter says the Denver Broncos have contacted Manning's representatives and that the future Hall Of Famer prefers to stay in the AFC. Twelve teams in total are rumored to be interested, and organizations that have reportedly reached out include three NFC teams (the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins) and four AFC teams -- the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and New York Jets.

Mark Cannizzaro of the New York Post suggested earlier this week that Manning might also prefer warmer destinations over cold-weather cities like Denver, so the mix of speculation on grows more complicated with each passing day. There is also talk that Tim Tebow would be traded if Manning makes his way to Denver, so the ripple effect of this pursuit by the Broncos could have a big impact on the future of the franchise.
