2012 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos Projected To Select DT Jerel Worthy With No. 25 Pick By Todd McShay

Like many other draft analysts before him, ESPN's Todd McShay projects the Denver Broncos to select Michigan State defensive tackle Jerel Worthy with the No. 25 overall pick in his latest mock draft. McShay notes that the depth of this year's class of defensive tackles benefits Denver, as it'll likely be able to get some nice with its first pick.

It's not often a team can stand pat at No. 25 overall and still get a good player at a position of need, but the Broncos are in position to do that given the depth of this year's defensive tackle class. You'd like to see Worthy play with more consistency, but he has the explosiveness and quickness to penetrate, disrupt and make plays in the backfield.

Scouts love Worthy's athleticism and size, particularly as he's shown improvement over the years. Getting him would be a nice upgrade to Denver's interior defense.
