Broncos Free Agency 2012: Jeff Saturday To Visit On Friday; Jacob Tamme Schedules Meeting

The Denver Broncos are going to see the fruits of signing Peyton Manningg bear soon enough, especially when it comes to Manning's former Indianapolis Colts teammates. Tight end Jacob Tamme and center Jeff Saturday are scheduled to visit the Broncos in the coming days, reports the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora:

Team Manning, Activate: Ex-Colt TE Jacob Tamme left SEA w/o a deal, headed to Denver for a visit. Jeff Saturday scheduled for DEN on Fri

Saturday has long been mentioned as a potential candidate for the Broncos ever since their involvement with Peyton Manning began a couple of weeks ago. He would represent an upgrade of J.D. Walton.

Tamme is not unexpected as a possible addition for the Broncos, but he wasn't the first ex-Colts tight end connected with the Broncos. That speculation began with Dallas Clark almost immediately after Clark was released last week. Tamme, though, is a young tight end who caught 67 passes for 631 yards and four touchdowns in replacing Clark during the 2010 season. It's certainly possible that both could be signed, but for now it's just Tamme visiting Denver.
