According to a report delivered by ESPN's Adam Schefter on SportsCenter, the Denver Broncos— with Peyton Manning now in the bag— will explore acquiring ex-Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday. Saturday was not re-signed by Indianapolis as the team decided to purge itself of many of the stalwarts of the Manning era, and there was a belief that the 36-year-old was just going to retire.
Up until last season, Saturday had never snapped the ball to another starting quarterback besides Manning, and with Peyton's future now settled, Saturday may now have an interest in signing with the Broncos. Manning likewise has spent nearly the entirety of his career receiving the ball from Saturday, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he reached out to a player that could be called something like Manning's security blanket.
