It was reported this weekend that prized free agent quarterback Peyton Manning is set to decide where he'll sign on Monday or Tuesday. The Denver Broncos remain in contention for the 36-year old future Hall of Famer's services, as do the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers. If the Broncos end up missing out on Manning, some are speculating that Denver GM John Elway will continue to pursue other quarterbacks rather than give the starting nod back to Tim Tebow before training camp begins.
Today at the Denver Post, Mike Klis wonders if Alex Smith or Matt Hasselbeck would be good options for Elway and the Broncos. Klis also points out that Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden could be an option in the draft because he's perceived as the most 'NFL-ready' quarterback outside of the sure-fire first two selections, Stanford's Andrew Luck and Baylor Robert Griffin III.
