Hayes started 13 games in the 2011 NFL season, but lost his starting role in Week 9 due to poor performance. He returned to the starting lineup in Week 12 but could not stop the Buc's 10-game losing streak (in which they allowed no fewer than 23 points in each game). Hayes collected a total of 64 tackles in 2011 (0.0 sacks), intercepted 1 pass and defended 2 passes.

The Broncos are also meeting with LB Jameel McClain on on Friday, looking to bolster their defense.
