Broncos Free Agency 2012: Jameel McClain Visits Denver On Friday

While the Peyton Manning Free Agent Craze reaches a standstill and makes people reach for any kind of update, the Denver Broncos are actually making waves on other fronts. They signed safety Mike Adams on Thursday afternoon to solidify the safety position, and on Friday the team will bring in linebacker Jameel McClain, according to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora:

McClain, an inside linebacker, recorded 84 total tackles in 2011 for a Baltimore Ravens defense that was No. 3 in yards allowed and No. 3 in points allowed. The Broncos are unlikely to bring back Joe Mays to start inside and there are still questions over the long-term viability of Nate Irving, 2011's third-round draft choice.

It's also possible that the Broncos could want to move him to the outside if D.J. Williams, currently facing a six-game suspension for a failed drug test, is not retained.
