While the Denver Broncos wait with the rest of America to hear where quarterback Peyton Manning will play next season, the Broncos have announced they will place a "same round tender" on restricted free agents Ryan McBean and Matt Willis. From Mike Klis of the Denver Post:
Broncos have tendered all their restricted free agents: DT Ryan McBean, WR Matt Willis; Exclusive right FA: L. Ball, C. Clark, B. Colquitt
— Mike Klis (@MikeKlis) March 13, 2012
McBean, who sued the league earlier in the day, is one of three Denver players facing a suspension to open the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. As of the moment, the defensive tackle is slated to miss the first six games of next season.
McBean was a fourth round selection of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2007, meaning if another team tries to sign him, Denver can either match the offer or accept a fourth round draft pick as compensation.
Punter Britton Colquitt is the other big name on the list. Colquitt was a first-alternate for the Pro Bowl last year.
