While we all wait for the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning to complete their courtship, there still remains what the Broncos will do with their first-round draft pick. Plenty can change with that pick should the Broncos sign Manning. But SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL mock draft still is based in the current reality of Tim Tebow being the Broncos' quarterback. And, as such, Ryan Van Bibber still stick with a defensive tackle for the Broncos, since Tim Tebow is either not the person to turn around the defense (obviously) or he is not a quarterback who can be solved:
25. Denver Broncos, Devon Still, DT, Penn State
Not even Tim Tebow could summon any help for the Broncos' defensive line against the better pass protecting units in the league. Still gives them some strength at the point of attack and some potential as a pass rusher.
Going defense makes sense with either Manning or Tebow as the team's quarterback. Defensive tackle is a position of need, but so too might linebacker following D.J. Williams' six-game suspension. Or cornerback. Or anywhere. Seriously, we're still so far out from the draft that we can start predicting most positions.
