The Denver Broncos might be creeping closer to picking up free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, if the portents are being read correctly. Manning has reportedly cut the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks from his potential destinations, leaving the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals as the two main options, reports the Denver Post's Mike Klis.
Definitely read Klis' article for some good reporting on what happened over the weekend. Mostly, what we can take away outside of whom Manning eliminated is that Manning is close to a decision, but we won't know until Tuesday or Wednesday. Free agency begins on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. MT.
If Manning does choose to sign with the Broncos, we should start looking for a potential Tim Tebow trade -- since that's all everyone is speculating will happen. The high drama will continue into Monday.
