Peyton Manning Rumors: Tim Tebow Will Be Traded If Manning Chooses Denver, According To Report

Tim Tebow swept the nation by storm in the 2011 season, but if Peyton Manning decides to play for the Denver Broncos, Tebow will be wearing a different uniform in 2012, according to a report by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. Yes, Florio's source indicates that John Elway, John Fox and the rest of the Denver brain trust has decided to trade Tebow if the Broncos are able to land Manning.

It would be hard to find anyone who would choose Tebow over one of the best quarterbacks of all time (assuming of course that Manning is healthy), but it would still be a shock to see Tebow playing for a different team after his remarkable playoff run with the Broncos in 2011. On the other hand, there has always been a tension between the Broncos' record with Tebow under center and the barely veiled skepticism from Denver's front office regarding his ability to be a long-term starting quarterback in the NFL.

To practically no one's surprise, Florio also reports that if Tebow is put on the block, the Jacksonville Jaguars would be one of the teams interested in his services. Tebow grew up and played college football in north Florida, and he may be more revered there than in any place in America. The pairing between Tebow and the Jags makes plenty of sense, but it would be fascinating to see what the market for Tebow would be, and how many teams consider him a potential franchise quarterback.
