Peyton Manning Update: Quarterback Leaves Denver, Visits Arizona

The Denver Broncos must now wait and see what happens elsewhere with Peyton Manning. The quarterback stayed overnight Friday into Saturday in Denver, but there were plenty of mixed reports throughout the day on where he was in the state. Was he at Dove Valley? Was he at the Colorado Avalanche game? Was he heading back to Miami? As it turned out, Manning did head south to visit the Arizona Cardinals. But beyond that, there isn't much else known.

Is Manning's departure without a contract from Denver a poor sign of things to come? Will Manning decide that he wants to visit teams other than the Broncos and the Cardinals? The Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs are certainly two teams that would like Manning's services. And, well, hey, even Washington Redskisn owner Dan Snyder is attempting to be Dan Snyder after acquiring the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Let's also keep in mind that the team that signs Manning most likely will need to bring in one or two of his former Indianapolis Colts teammates. Imagine adding receiver Reggie Wayne and tight end Dallas Clark to an offense that has Demaryius Thomas. It would be a new triple threat for the Broncos to work with, but familiar for Manning.
