2012 NFL Mock Draft: Fletcher Cox Would Help Broncos AT DT

The Denver Broncos face a bit of an issue at defensive tackle this offseason, and it's one that they could fix by drafting a young, talented lineman in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Over at Draft Tek, the Broncos select Mississippi St. Bulldogs defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, a 6-foot-4, 300-poun bruiser who had 14.5 tackles for loss and five tackles in 2011.

This pick, as we've known for months, makes sense. The Broncos could potentially lose both starting defensive tackles from this season to free agency, Brodrick Bunkley and Marcus Thomas. Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson return from injury, but the former is anything but a sure thing to return to the field of play.

But, as Draft Tek suggests, the Broncos could also look for help at wide receiver, safety or even cornerback -- all areas of concern. In this scenario, receiver Kendall Wright goes off the board with the next pick, but he would certainly be able to give Tim Tebow another weapon on offense.
