2012 NFL Mock Draft: Combine Underway, Devon Still Projected For Broncos

The 2012 NFL Combine is underway and many of the tests have not yet taken place for the prospects in Indianapolis, but that doesn't stop the mock drafts from making the rounds on the Internet. The latest SB Nation 2012 NFL mock draft has the Denver Broncos taking Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still with the No. 25 overall selection.

Jason Garrison writes:

Still isn't as big of a defensive tackle as Poe is, but he'll fit in nicely in Denver's 4-3 scheme. Still has the quickness to get into the backfield and pressure the quarterback from inside and to get some tackles for loss in the run game. With Still, Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller going after the quarterback, offensive lines will be overwhelmed.

The team has acknowledged that defensive tackle is a priority for the team. However, the Broncos do want to bring back Brodrick Bunkley, a free agent, and Ty Warren returns from a triceps injury. That could allow the Broncos to address defensive tackle in a later round, but it might be more prudent to pick up a defensive tackle in the first round to have a young player to build around. Warren is an injury risk and Bunkley isn't getting any younger (neither is Warren).

We'll see how the Combine changes these projections early next week.
