2012 NFL Mock Draft: Don Banks Selects Jerel Worthy For Broncos With No. 25 Pick

In mock drafts over the past few weeks, Michigan State defensive tackle Jerel Worthy has been a popular option for the Denver Broncos' No. 25 overall pick. Like many others, Sports Illustrated's Don Banks also has the Broncos taking Worthy with the No. 25 pick in his latest mock draft.

Banks notes that Denver should have a variety of options among defensive lineman when their turn comes up, but Worthy is a highly intriguing prospect:

The Broncos should have their choice of several interior defensive linemen who represent immediate upgrades: Worthy, Mississippi State's Fletcher Cox, or Washington's Alameda Ta'amu. Worthy, a playmaking junior who is rapidly gaining fans in the NFL, is, well, worthy at No. 25.

Generally speaking, Worthy is considered a bit of a gamble, but one that could end up paying huge dividends given his star potential.
