2012 NFL Mock Draft: Charlie Casserly Predicts DT Jerel Worthy For Broncos

In Charlie Casserly's latest 2012 NFL mock draft for NFL.com, the Denver Broncos select Michigan St. Spartans defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, which should come as no surprise. Worthy is often the predicted to be the Broncos' first-round pick. As Casserly writes, the Broncos need to bulk up on the defensive line and a 310-pound tackle is one way to do that. Worthy would be able to rotate in and out with Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson.

But if the Broncos don't go with Worthy in this mock draft, who else could have been taken? Wide receiver Kendall Wright is the immediate selection after Worthy, and Tim Tebow certainly needs a solid No. 2 wide receiver. Demaryius Thomas is his main target, but Eric Decker is more of a No. 3 receiver.

Safety Mark Barron is also a possibility if the Broncos decide they need to pick up Brian Dawkins' in the draft. Fletcher Cox is also an alternative.
