2012 NFL Coaching Candidates: Denver Broncos Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy Puts Jags Interview On Hold

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy had an interview scheduled with the Jacksonville Jaguars today to talk about their open head coaching position, but according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, that's been put on hold after the Broncos defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. It's unknown whether or not the Jags and McCoy will speak about the position in between now and the Broncos game this weekend vs. the New England Patriots.

As pointed out by Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith, coaches like McCoy are in weird positions. On the one hand, they want to do everything they can to help their teams win playoff games, but on the other hand, the protracted schedule may hurt their chances of moving up the coaching ladder.
