Steelers Vs. Broncos: Tim Tebow, Brady Quinn And The Potential For A Benching

Brady Quinn's role in Sunday's 2012 AFC Wild Card game between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers is, to borrow a phrase from Winston Churchill. "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." First reports emerge that he received half of the first-team snaps with Tim Tebow during practice. Then Qunn denied that, but later reports said he did see increased snaps, though not to the extent originally reported.

More: Brady Quinn's Practice Week | Brady Quinn Reportedly Has Special Packages In Offense

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio originally reported that information and then followed up with Quinn having special practices in the playbook for him this week. On Saturday morning, Florio is reporting that John Fox will bench Tebow if he struggles and that:

As one source explained it, Broncos players don’t regard the development as a big deal. It’s no surprise that Tebow hasn’t been the same guy lately, with as many turnovers in the last two games (six) as he had in all of the prior 10 games combined.

That means Brady Quinn will see his first non-preseason snap in over two seasons. Can that possibly end well? Find out Sunday if it's even possible.
