Brady Quinn playing for the Denver Broncos in the 2012 NFL Playoffs? Maybe it wasn't as big of a joke as originally thought. Quinn has shared first-team snaps with Tim Tebow during practice this week, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. Apparently it has been split almost evenly between the two.
UPDATE: Brady Quinn has texted Jeff Darlington of NFL.com that he has not received any more snaps than normal. However, Darlington's other sources say there was some thought to it and that Quinn could come in on a package change.
But, of course, we don't really know what this means or if it is really true. The Broncos would obviously be gearing up to know two playbooks for the game, which has always been the plan with Quinn (and when he was here, Orton). But if Quinn has really been getting half of the first-team reps, what does that say about the confidence in Tim Tebow?
In a do-or-die situation, the Denver Broncos do need to be prepared for the worst with Tim Tebow. Or maybe they just want to rattle the Pittsburgh Steelers by putting out some disinformation. We'll find out Sunday.
