Denver Broncos Injury Report: Brian Dawkins Out Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Denver Broncos will not have its defensive leader on the field for Sunday's 2012 AFC Wild card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Safety Brian Dawkins has been declared out for the game with his neck injury. Head coach John Fox told reporters that it is the responsibility of the coaches to look out for the well-being of the players.

Dawkins injured his neck several weeks ago after hitting into Robert Ayers. He missed the season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs, leaving the team to start David Bruton again (who is questionable for the game).He will play with rookie Quinton Carter while rookie Rahim Moore will also play in the secondary

Spencer Larsen is also unlikely to play after being listed as doubtful.
