2012 NFL Coaching Candidates: Denver Broncos Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy Will Interview For Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coaching Job

The Jacksonville Jaguars asked for and received permission to interview Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for the team's head coaching vacancy. But McCoy has a playoff game to prepare for this week, and he says he's not letting his Jaguars interview become a distraction:

"The No. 1 thing this week is to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it's an honor and a privilege to have that (opportunity) and get noticed for something like that," McCoy said. "We'll see what happens down the road."

McCoy has been an assistant with Denver since 2009, and the offensive coordinator since 2010. Prior to his stint in Denver, McCoy spent nine years as an assistant with the Carolina Panthers.
