The Denver Broncos will need to beef up its defensive line through either the 2012 NFL Draft or free agency. The Broncos had triedthrough free agency in 2011 with the signing of Ty Warren, but he lost the entire season after a biceps injury during training camp. Many mock drafts are predicting a defensive tackle, like this one from Bucky Brooks at NFL.com.

Brooks sees Michigan St. Spartans defensive tackle Jerel Worthy going to the Broncos because he is a three-technique player who would help enhance Elvis Dumervil's and Von Miller's ability to rush the passer. Looking around at the other picks in the surrounding reaches of the draft, the Broncos could also be in line to draft a safety such as Alabama's Mark Barron (No. 24) or Mississippi State's Fletcher Cox (No. 28).
The Broncos certainly aren't beholden to one area of need in the first round.
