2012 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos Could Look For A WR Like Tommy Streeter In 3rd Round

The Denver Broncos often played the 2011 season with a serious lack of depth at wide receiver. Whether it was due to injuries or trade, the Broncos were often playing with just three healthy wide receivers and at one point early in the season Tim Tebow needed to wind up as the slot receiver. So, the Broncos could definitely stand to draft a receiver in the 2012 NFL Draft. WalterFootball.com predicts the Broncos could take Miami Hurricanes Tommy Streeter in the third round.

That selection flows with the selections of defensive tackle Fletcher Cox in the first round and running back Doug Martin in the second. Streeter is 6 feet 4 and 215 pounds, giving him a great size advantage over most cornerbacks. Streeter jumped to the NFL after his junior year of 46 catches for 811 yards and eight touchdowns. Outside of the disdain the mock drafter has for the Brandon Lloyd trade, the rest of the reasoning is all right. Tebow does need more weapons to succeed. Could the Broncos find another gem in the later round like they did with Brandon Marshall in 2006?
