NFL Mock Draft 2012: CBS Sports' Dane Brugler Boringly Keeps TE Dwayne Allen To Broncos

The worst thing about NFL mock drafts in January is that some people get lazy and keep picking the same player for one team over and over. And then there are those that don't write a different blurb for each update. We need only look at Dane Brugler's Jan. 23 mock draft update that has the Denver Broncos selecting Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen.

Allen might just be the top tight end in the draft and he would certainly provide a safety valve for Tim Tebow, who needs more and more weapons around him if he is to succeed. Given the scenario provided here, Allen is a good pick. A cornerback like Stephon Gilmore, who goes to the New England Patriots at No. 27, could also be a possibility since the Broncos lack depth in the secondary after Champ Bailey. Andre Goodman isn't a cutting on the other side of the field any longer.
