2012 NFL Mock Draft: SB Nation Predicts Miami's Lamar Miller To Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos won't know for sure where they pick in the 2012 NFL Draft until they are eliminated from the 2012 NFL Playoffs, but they do know that it will be between Nos. 21-32, the playoff team positions. If they fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opening round of the AFC playoffs, the Broncos will select between Nos. 21-24. In SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL mock draft, the Broncos select Miami Hurricanes running back Lamar Miller with the No. 21 overall pick.

This selection steers away from what appears to be the expected norm in mock draft territory: selecting a defensive tackle. While the write up concentrates on pairing Miller as a complement to Tim Tebow the runner, it also allows the Broncos to transition away from Willis McGahee. McGahee had a big rebound season with the Broncos, but he will be 31 years old in 2012 and is still an injury risk, as we saw during the latter half of this season.

Will we see the Broncos with a higher selection after the coming playoff game?
