Tuten, who had served as the team's strength coach since 1995, had this to say:

"After 17 years the Broncos have decided to make a change in their strength program," Tuten said. "It's been a great part of me and my family's life. I would like to thank Mr. Bowlen for his support and we wish the Broncos the very best."

The Broncos also promoted Matt Russell to director of player personnel and announced the hiring of Brian Stark, who will work as a west coast scout. Russell had been in charge of college scouting for the Broncos, while Stark is a former assistant coach at Yale and San Diego State.
