The Denver Broncos find themselves down just two minutes into the game against the New England Patriots, 7-0. Wes Welker, he of a questionable knee, caught a seven-yard touchdown pass for the early lead.
Tom Brady started the drive with a 17-yard pass to Rob Gronkowski and then followed that up with a handoff to tight end Aaron Hernandez, who picked up 43 yards. Brady then threw a touchdown pass in his 18th straight playoff game, second only to Brett Favre's 20. It's also his 31 postseason touchdown, tied for fourth all-time with Kurt Warner.
The Broncos don't want to get down too early as that is a recipe for disaster, disrupting the team's game plan to stick with the ball on the ground.
