Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos Need To Win Turnover Battle Vs. New England Patriots

The Denver Broncos had a tough go at things against the New England Patriots back in December when they hosted the game. This time around, the Broncos won't have their home crowd surrounding them. As a result, the turnovers that plagued the Broncos in that game could follow them to Gillette Stadium, which has its own history of turnover calls.

Ten years ago, we all learned about the "Tuck Rule" when Tom Brady made a forward motion and lost control of the ball. As the snow fell and the Patriots and the Oakland Raiders waited for a review of the play, we were left wondering what was going to happen. The referee overturned the fumble on the field and called it an incomplete pass because of the forward motion, even though he was bringing the ball back into him.

Will we have a moment like that in this game? Tebow has been prone to fumbles and interceptions lately. He threw six interceptions all season, but he had four over the last two games and went 1-3 this season when throwing an interception. Tebow also fumbled the ball at least one in each of the last six games of the regular season and lost a fumble in the last five games.

Tebow didn't throw an interception or fumble the ball against the Patriots, but that was home. Will he be able to avoid those issues again or will he have divine intervention, like Tom Brady did, to reverse a costly turnover? We'll find out starting at 6:00 p.m. MT.
