Broncos Vs. Patriots, 2012 NFL Playoffs: Lance Ball Ready For Round 2 With New England

In the Denver Broncos' 41-23 loss to the New England Patriots back in November, running back Lance Ball received his fair number of shares in the game due to Willis McGahee's absence. At first it was due to a leg issue, but he then sat out most of the second half of the game because the team was down by a large margin. Head coach John Fox wanted to save McGahee from further injury. Ball finished the game with 64 carries and is looking for more this time around.

Ball might not see the field all that much in Round 2, as he had just four carries for 11 yards last week. If McGahee can't play then Ball would certainly be the first to see more time in the backfield. But there is no Round 3, which means Fox might need to use all of his weapons in unexpected ways.

The Broncos will be in Boston soon enough before heading to Foxborough and Gillette Stadium.
