The Kansas City Chiefs took a 7-0 lead over the Denver Broncos with 11 seconds left in the first quarter. After Ryan Succop missed a field goal on a previous drive, the Chiefs did not leave points on the field this time around.
Dexter McCluster ended a 90-yard drive with a 21-yard touchdown run one play after picking up 16 yards on a 3rd-and-7 play.
The Broncos saw McCluster start up the middle of the field before he bounced to the outside on the right and broke away uncontested to the end zone. The loss of Jackie Battle has not affected the Chiefs negatively early in the game.
The Chiefs have outgained the Broncos in total offensive yards, 162-16.
