Week 4 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Eric Decker Still Available, Ready To Contribute

As we already looked at which Denver Broncos should start or sit, should there be any reason to pick up a Denver Bronco player for fantasy purposes. Right now wide receiver Brandon Lloyd and running back Willis McGahee are the only two Broncos who are widely held in leagues. Lloyd is the No. 1 wide receiver for the Broncos and McGahee, despite last week's inability to do it, should pick up carries at the goal line.

But if anyone should troll the waiver wire this week, Eric Decker is likely still available. A return touchdown in the first game and two touchdown receptions in the second game put Decker on the map, but could he repeat that once Brandon Lloyd returned? As Sunday showed, Decker did receive plenty of looks and caught seven passes, though Lloyd wasn't exactly his old self.

According to numberFire's wide receiver projections, Lloyd should out produce Decker this week by over five points. Here's how they compare:

Brandon Lloyd Eric Decker
Total Points 10.71 Total Points 5.63
Receptions 4.57 Receptions 2.87
Rec. Yards 71.68 Rec. Yards 43.8
Total TDs 0.59 Total TDs 0.21

Both, though, are high risks options with Kyle Orton at quarterback. Orton, the No. 20 quarterback this week, is projected to throw one touchdown and one interception. Still, Orton could surprise against a porous Green Bay pass defense.
