Week 2 NFL Odds, Bengals Vs. Broncos: Denver Slight Favorites After Week 1 Loss

The Denver Broncos are slight favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals for Sunday's game. Can the Broncos pick things up after losing to the Raiders in Week 1?

That the Denver Broncos are favored to win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday might be a bit generous. The opening line, according to Odds Shark, had the Broncos as 5-1/2 point favorites, but that has now moved to just 3-1/2, basically a pick'em for either team.

Playing at Mile High certain helps the odds-makers put this game in favor of the Broncos, but the Broncos do have issues here that could prevent them from covering the spread (or even winning). The rush defense was non-existent, allowing 150 yards to Darren McFadden. The hanging cloud of Tim Tebow stalks Kyle Orton's performance. While John Fox isn't anywhere near ready to move to Tim Tebow, some fans certainly are. Injuries to Champ Bailey, Elvis Dumervil, Knowshon Moreno and Brandon Lloyd make their status uncertain on Thursday morning.

The Bengals, however, have a quarterback issue that does not pertain to performance. Andy Dalton injured his wrist in Sunday's lost and saw Bruce Gradkowski lead the team to victory. The uncertainty at the position could affect the offense.
