NFL Cuts 2011: Waiver Wire Should Help Broncos In Coming Days

No matter how one spins it, it's tough to say there are many good things to come from a 4-12 season, which the Denver Broncos had in 2010. Sure, the No. 2 draft pick was great since linebacker Von Miller looks like he's going to be a beast, but one player alone can't always turn things around by himself.

That's where one of the other benefits comes in: high waiver wire priority before the start of the season. As Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post points out, the Broncos have the No. 2 waiver priority, behind only the Carolina Panthers. There could be a number of players the Broncos want to pick up once other teams start cutting from their own roster.

The only issue here is that the Broncos would need to cut more than 27 players, the number needed to reach the 53-man roster limit. Head coach John Fox will have some tough decisions to make once he sees the names of the young players available over the next few days.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a few more defensive tackles brought in. Most currently on the roster are banged up already or out for an extended period of time (Ty Warren). One coach's cut could be John Fox's treasure.
