SI's Peter King Predicts Denver Broncos For Last In AFC West

We're into the last week of preseason NFL football, which can only mean that it is time for season predictions. Who better to turn to at the end of August then Sports Illustrated's own Peter King? His annual prediction article is out and he isn't kind to the Denver Broncos.

The 4-12 Broncos in 2010 find themselves just 5-11 in 2011, good for last place in the AFC West. I guess he isn't sold on Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller revitalizing a bad defense from 2010. And, well, the quarterback situation, while settled with Kyle Orton, still isn't the best one in the NFL.

But the AFC West doesn't appear strong at all to King. The San Diego Chargers take the division at 11-5, but the Kansas City Chiefs can manage just an 8-8 season and the Oakland Raiders pick up seven victories. At least this isn't the NFC West, where the St. Louis Rams win the division and are the only team with an above-.500 record.

Better yet? The Chargers make it to the Super Bowl, only to lose to the Atlanta Falcons, 24-20. You're a joker, Peter King.
