Broncos' Rahim Moore Receives $20,000 Fine For Hit In Buffalo Game

Four days after Denver Broncos rookie safety Rahim Moore delivered a crushing hit to Buffalo Bills wide receiver Donald Jones, the league fined him $20,000, according to the Denver Post's Lindsay H. Jones. Moore received a personal foul on the penalty and did not return to the game. Jones' head violently hit the ground after he and Moore had incidental helmet-to-helmet contact on the play.

In SB Nation Denver's informal, unscientific poll on the issue, an overwhelming majority of voters believed Moore delivered a clean hit on the play. Moore led with his shoulder while coming at Jones at full speed. It would have been tough for him to pull up short and not hit him.

Jones will miss the remainder of the preseason following his injury. The Broncos and the Bills have a regular season rematch on Christmas Eve this season. Marcell Dareus won't be the only Bills player looking to outshine the Broncos.
