Broncos' Knowshon Moreno Back To Starting RB?

The NFL is still in lockout mode, but teams are still preparing for the season. For the Denver Broncos, the running back position is one the team will need to deal with once free agency starts. For months, the team and the media have hinted at the team looking for a new running back to become the starter and allow Knowshon Moreno to be a third-down back.

But according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the team will now look at a second back who is a "1B"-type of back to pair with starter Moreno. Apparently, Moreno has slimmed down during his workouts this offseason and is ready to prove he can reach the level of production expected of the No. 12 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Much speculation had been on the team signing Fox's running back from Carolina, DeAngelo Williams, but the Panthers are going to try hard to re-sign him when that 72-hour window of exclusivity opens.
