The 2011 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship began the way it ended: with Jack Wagner in the lead. This is Wagner's second victory at Lake Tahoe, previously winning the 2006 tournament. The soap opera star finished with 80 points to win by three points over Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's 77. Jeremy Roenick and Chris Chandler tied for third with 66 points.

Former Avalanche captain and current team executive Joe Sakic nailed a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole, winning $1 million. Half of that will go to Lance Armstrong's cancer research foundation. Sakic finished in a respectable tie for 11th place with Vinny Del Negro at 50 points.

Tim Tebow's progress in Round 2 did not carry over to the final round. He finished with -8 points on Sunday for -15 points overall, good for 67th overall. His boss, John Elway, finished in a tie for 15th place with Jerry Rice and Bret Saberhagen at 47 points.
