While the status of the NFL Hall of Fame Game is up in the air with the NFL Lockout still in place, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is still on schedule for Aug. 6. And of course Denver Broncos fans will be at attention because tight end Shannon Sharpe is finally getting his due in Canton.
↵Just announced, Sterling Sharpe, Shannon's brother, will present remarks shown to video during the induction ceremony. Sterling was a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers who had his career ended after the 1994 season due to a neck injury.
↵Sterling is just the fourth brother to induct someone into the Hall of Fame. The others were for Jimmy Johnson (1994), Lee Roy Selmon (1995) and Dick LeBeau (2010).
↵Also scheduled for induction into the Hall of Fame are Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Ed Sabol and Deion Sanders. Make sure to catch everyone's induction on Aug. 6 on ESPN at 5:00 p.m. MT. That is, if you aren't in Canton, cheering on Shannon Sharpe.
