2011 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest: Renee Herlocker To Be Field Reporter

On July 4, there will be a familiar face to many Denver Broncos fans on ESPN's broadcast of the 2011 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Renee Herlocker, a Broncos cheerleader from 2000-2006, will be the field reporter for the contest. She made the announcement on Twitter:

It's official! I'm the @espn field correspondent at the Nathan's Hot Dog International Federation of Competitive Eating Contest 7/4 in NY :)less than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet Reply

Her talents extend off the football sidelines and into a variety of other roles. She was a dancer in Iron Man 2 and has hosted online shows and red carpet events. Additionally, her bio states:

Renée’s talents are not limited to only working in front of the camera. From 2007-2009 she worked behind the camera and microphone as a writer, producer and on air radio/television co-host for Mile High Sports, local Denver sports enriched mediums.

Good to see ESPN making changes to its broadcast of the event, but hot dogs still remain the star of the show.
