NFL Draft 2011 Results: Broncos Select Two Tight Ends On Day 3

The third and final day of 2011 NFL Draft is over. Let's take another look at who the newest Broncos take on Saturday are:

No. 108, Fourth Round: Quinton Carter, S, Oklahoma - With the addition of Carter and second-round pick Rahim Moore, it is clear that John Fox wants to build the future foundation for the secondary. Brian Dawkins can mentor the two in his remaining time in the league.

No. 129, Fourth Round: Julius Thomas, TE, Portland State - The first offensive weapon selected on the third day by the Broncos, Thomas is an undeveloped talent who played basketball in college as well. Fills hole in position.

No. 189, Sixth Round: Michael Mohamed, ILB, Cal - A third linebacker for the Broncos in this draft, Mohamed should contribute immediately as a special teams player.

No. 204, Seventh Round: Virgil Green, TE, Nevada - One of Colin Kaepernick's targets at Nevada, Green is another pass-catching tight end, a type of player the Broncos have lacked recently.

No. 247, Seventh Round: Jeremy Beal, DE, Oklahoma - The Broncos use their last draft pick to select a defensive lineman, this one an end. Beal had 29 sacks for the Sooners, tied for second in school history.

The Broncos will now wait for free agency to begin (date undetermined) to address defensive tackle concerns.
