California inside linebacker Michael Mohamed was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 189th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. Mohamed finished his career at Cal with 340 tackles, fourth most in school history, and was a second-team All-Pac-10 player in 2010. Given his instincts to go after the ball, he should make plenty of plays.
Mohamed is Denver's third linebacker taken in the draft, the other two being Von Miller and Nate Irving. The Broncos have two seventh round picks remaining. At this point, it would be surprising if the Broncos drafted a player on the defensive line. They'll look at that area in free agency. This late in the draft, the team will only find long-term projects to draft.
