With the 2011 NFL Draft entering its third day in a few hours, let's look at how the Denver Broncos' AFC West opponents have drafted so far:
Player | Position | School | Rnd/Pick |
Jon Baldwin | WR | Pitt | 1/26 |
Rodney Hudson | OL | Florida St. | 2/23 |
Justin Houston | LB | Georgia | 3/6 |
Allen Bailey | DE | Miami | 3/22 |
After the Bears and Ravens were unable to complete a trade, the Chiefs rushed their pick to the podium once time expired on the Ravens' pick. They picked up a wide receiver in Jonathan Baldwin who will help out QB Matt Cassel and fellow WR Dwayne Bowe. Justin Houston fell (likely for an alleged failed drug test), but he will help out their pass rush.
Player | Position | School | Rnd/Pick |
Stefen Wisniewski | OL | Penn St. | 2/16 |
DeMarcus Van Dyke | DB | Miami | 3/17 |
Joseph Barksdale | OL | LSU | 3/28 |
The Raiders traded their first-round pick to the New England Patriots for Richard Seymour. The Raiders look toward building a new offensive line for running backs Darren McFadden and Michael Bush with the selections of Wisniewski and Barksdale in the second and third rounds, respectively.
Player | Position | School | Rnd/Pick |
Corey Liuget | DT | Illinois | 1/18 |
Marcus Gilchrist | DB | Clemson | 2/18 |
Jonas Mouton | LB | Michigan | 2/29 |
Vincent Brown | WR | San Diego St. | 3/18 |
Shareece Wright | DB | USC | 3/25 |
Liuget will provide a strong pass rush, and Mouton behind him should be all over the field making plays. Gilchrist could play both cornerback and safety. Wright may be a stretch in the third, but that's the only pressing concern so far with this pick.
