2011 NFL Draft Results: Orlando Franklin Selected By Denver Broncos With 46th Pick

With the 14th pick of the second round (46th overall), the Denver Broncos selected Orlando Franklin, a tackle from the Miami Hurricanes. Franklin could play right tackle, likely signaling the end of Ryan Harris' time with the team (Harris is a restricted free agent). But he played guard for the Hurricanes as well.

Interestingly, the Broncos have yet to draft any help on the defensive line, a glaring need. They passed over players such as Stephen Paea, Da'Quan Bowers and Marvin Austin.

While Shannon Sharpe did come out for the second pick, a contest winner announced the selection instead. He was wearing a Terrell Davis jersey.

The Broncos have one more selection on Friday, the third pick of the third round (67th overall).

The second round of the 2011 NFL draft is underway. Day two of the draft will feature the second round with seven minutes between each pick and the third round with five minutes between each pick.
