2011 NFL Draft: Da'Quan Bowers Falls, Should Broncos Select Him On Day 2?

When Day 2 of the NFL Draft begins on Friday evening, the Denver Broncos will have two picks (4, 14) in the second round. With pass-rusher Von Miller in the fold now, will the Broncos look for more help on the defensive side of the ball? The defensive line could use another addition or two during this draft.

Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, at one point a possible top 10 selection, dropped completely out of the first round and is waiting to be picked. Maybe questions over his knee, which he had surgery on, are more troubling than let on in public knowledge. The Broncos have been burned in the past with drafting players who had previous knee injuries, such as Paul Toviessi. Toviessi had reinjured his knee shortly after he signed in 2001 and became one of the top draft busts in the team's history.

Other positions the Broncos could look at include defensive tackle (Oregon State's Stephen Paea is still available), linebacker (UCLA's Akeem Ayers for the return to a 4-3 front), running back (Illinois' Mikel Leshoure to pair with Knowshon Moreno), tight end (Notre Dame's Kyle Rudolph) and even the secondary could use an upgrade (safety).
