2011 NFL Draft: Von Miller Likely To Be Broncos Selection At No. 2, If Reports Hold True

Less than five hours away from the 2011 NFL Draft, it may be a fair bet to say the Denver Broncos will draft Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller with the No. 2 overall draft pick. Our 2011 NFL Mock Draft stream has been following all the last minute projections, and we've seen Mel Kiper, Mike Mayock, Rick Gosselin and Todd McShay all jump onto the Miller-to-the-Broncos bandwagon.

Now CBS Sports' Rob Rang writes: "[T]he Broncos seem to be infatuated with Miller" and will take him No. 2 overall. The Denver Post's Mike Klis also reports that the likelihood of Miller displaying a Broncos jersey on Thursday night is a good one.

If Miller is indeed the pick, the Broncos would be able to create defensive schemes that utilize his pass-rushing abilities and those of Elvis Dumvervil, causing havoc for the opposing teams. The Broncos were last in the NFL with 23 sacks in 2010 and could use help in that area. While Marcell Dareus or Nick Fairley could help in that category, Miller's explosiveness appears to be too good to pass up.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 6 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, April 28 and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare for it - NFL mock drafts, draft projections, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule and more.
