As we learned on Wednesday, the Denver Broncos want to discuss a new contract with Champ Bailey, though he has already put his Littleton, CO house up for sale. What are fans to do while they watch one of their favorite all-time Broncos player walk away from the city?
↵One answer is to spend this Sunday, Feb. 20, on the south side of Invesco at Mile High for a "Champ Bailey Rally." That's what fans are already planning should a new contract not be work out, which is the most likely possibility. It's a three-hour event, running from 2-5 p.m. MT.
↵This is a commendable attempt to convince Champ Bailey to stay, but far too fringy to work in its present state. One hundred fans, two hundred fans rallying aren't going to get it done. Still, it's an effort that most players wouldn't receive from their fans.
↵If you are to go, remember to wear some Champ Bailey gear.
