When the Week 14 NFL power rankings come out on Tuesday, the question that should be asked is: how high will the Denver Broncos be this week? Last week the Broncos came in around Nos. 15 and 16. This week a Broncos victory combined with several losses by teams in front of them could potentially create a move to the around No. 10.
The Atlanta Falcons, the Detroit Lions, the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants all lost on Sunday, and in most power rankings last week these teams were ranked higher than the Broncos. Of those four teams, the Lions, the Bears and the Giants could all move below the Broncos. The Lions have seriously cooled off since their hot start and the Bears are falling apart without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 10-3. The Giants lost to the Green Bay Packers in a close game. The Falcons, inside the top 10, lost to the Houston Texans, 17-10.
The Bears and the Giants seem like strong candidates to fall out of the top 15. The Lions might also slip far enough down for the Broncos to advance. The Falcons likely won't drop that far down. However, the Oakland Raiders will certainly take over in the top 10 in those rankings that didn't have them there previously. The Cincinnati Bengals are going to move up as well. The New York Jets will, but the Broncos could certainly jump them.
Denver Broncos power rankings projection: No. 12 or 13.
