The Denver Broncos already knew that in Week 14 they wouldn't get to face Jay Cutler when the Chicago Bears traveled to the Mile High City. Now it appears that the Broncos won't need to deal with running back Matt Forte. He left Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a right knee injury. He didn't return to the game.
It later was reported that he had suffered an MCL sprain. According to Michael C. Wright of ESPN Chicago, Forte was not on crutches after the game and that he is getting special treatment to help him heal faster. Right now, it looks like Forte will be out at least two weeks and possibly up to a month.
With Forte out, the Bears will need to turn to Marion Barber III. He had 14 carries for 44 yards against the Chiefs.
