Despite struggling with a toe and an ankle injury this week, Denver Broncos WR Eddie Royal will play on Sunday vs. the Minnesota Vikings, according to the Denver Post. Royal, who injured himself returning a kick in Week 12 vs. the San Diego Chargers, missed two practices this week, but was deemed healthy enough to play about 90 minutes before kick off.
It's been a tough year for Royal, who only has 146 yards and one touchdown on the season, and has not seemed to strike up much of an on-field chemistry with Broncos QB Tim Tebow. That said, Royal remains dynamic on special teams, and with the Broncos offense struggling at times to move the ball, his role in the return game remains as important as ever.
