The Kansas City Chiefs don't have good news about running back Jackie Battle entering the final game of the regular season. Battle injured his foot in the overtime loss against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday and his status appears to be "doubtful" against the Denver Broncos, reports Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com. He is in a walking boot, which would appear to make him nowhere near ready to play.
Battle rushed nine times for 61 yards against the Broncos back in November, but that was the game Denver won, 17-10, with Tim Tebow completing two passes and the team rushing for 244 totals yards. Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster combined for 49 yards on 12 carries in that game. They will take over the ground game with Battle expected to be out.
